Today, Quang Binh is quite invested in tourism development.

Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh Povince, Vietnam)
Quang Binh province is in the North Central region. The dry season starts from April to August, the rainy season lasts from September to March next year, causing many inconveniences to travel. The right time to come to Quang Binh is the dry, sunny season, the clear blue sky highlights the charming natural scenery.
We pick you up from the hotel in Dong Hoi City to explore the Paradise Cave, also called Dong Thien Duong in Vietnamese.
Located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Thien Duong Cave is one of the most attractive caves in Vietnam. The cave has the great beauty of nature with soaring domes, stalactites, and stalagmites full of unique shapes. You can walk on the 1km route using the wooden stairs to enjoy the incredible charm of the cave.
To get to the cave entrance, we have to travel another 2 km of flat road, Vietnamdrive will offer you a tram to save time for this distance. And then we have to climb up about 800 m of slope or steps (2 ways to go up).
Stepping into the cave entrance, you will immediately feel the cold air blowing out from the inside, the deeper into the cave, the more obvious the cold feeling. The temperature in the cave is naturally maintained at about 20-22 degrees Celsius, winter as well as summer.
Although it is hard to climb up, the deeper you go inside, the more beautiful, magical, and shimmering the scenery is by the system of stalactites, and stalagmites with different shapes.
All stalactites inside Thien Duong cave are natural, without the impact of human hands. The management board only installs more lights or wooden stairs to facilitate visitors to visit and move.
After visiting the Paradise Cave, we move to Ozo Treetop Park to explore the nature and join the games.
With an area of nearly 5 hectares, located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, OZO Park is a favorite destination for almost all tourists when visiting Quang Binh.
The park owns a beautiful limestone forest ecosystem with a variety of flora and fauna. You have time to relax, temporarily away from the bustling life when walking across the wooden bridge, spotted by majestic primeval forests on both sides.
You can also take part in the challenges in the series of thrilling games, kayaking, and super boats. Vietnamdrive will choose one of these activities to offer you, it’s kayaking. The other games are optional as your choice.
After spending time here, we drive back hotel to relax.
Today, we will move to the area of Phong Nha Cave where owns the beautiful Son River.
Many tourists consider the Son River as a beautiful landscape that nature bestows on people in the North Central region. The river is pristine with a green color winding around the limestone mountains.
The distance to travel on the Son River from the wharf to Phong Nha cave is about 5 km long. Along the way on the Son River, there are many beautiful photo angles. Just stand on the boat to take pictures, you will have lovely photos but should pay attention to safety.
Boating on the Son River is quite similar to Trang An in Ninh Binh Province. The biggest difference is that the boat here is powered by a machine, when entering the cave, it is rowed by hand. In Trang An or Tam Coc Ninh Binh, people row entirely with their hands or feet.
You will sit on a boat to visit about 1,200 m of the cave system, then turn around and move by a system of wooden stairs. Along the way are stalactites stalagmites shimmering fancifully. To take pictures in this, you should use a strong flash or a small hand-held lamp to get light.
And, do not forget climbing up to explore Thien Cung Cave, which is the dry one separated from the wet cave – Phong Nha Cave. Thien Cung means heaven palace, because its beauty looks like the palaces on the heaven, so the people call it Thien Cung.
After finishing visiting the caves and the son river, we come back to the hotel to relax.
From Nhat Le beach, along the coastal road, you will have the opportunity to discover many new things in the land of Nhan Trach village. The fishing village is busy from the early of the day when fishermen come to wait for fish.
We come here to see the peaceful local life, breathe the fresh air mixed with the smell of the sea. The smell of shrimp and fish is an experience you will never forget.
Then, we also stop at Nhat Le beach for a while. Located at the mouth of the river, Nhat Le beach is endowed by nature with a charming beauty that fascinates travelers. The feeling of relaxation gently touches the heart when standing for the first time in front of the pristine and pure natural scenery in the brilliant golden sunshine.
To enrich the experience in Quang Binh, we visit Quang Phu sand dunes, a destination 10 km from the city center. This place is known as one of the most beautiful dunes in the Central region with long stretches of white sand, sometimes dotted with the green of wild bushes.
After spending time at the sand dunes, we drive back to the hotel to relax.
We are a group of 4 adults and only ordered “Only car and driver package”. The driver is very friendly, and the tour program is interesting. Mr. Ho Thom has supported us a lot, at the right time when we needed it. Thank you very much! Excellent!
