Welcome to Mui Ne, the charming land of Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province, where natural wonders blend with the simple life of the sea. Let your soul wander on the endless golden sand dunes, where the dawn is bright with a brilliant orange color, or the off-road vehicles rush to draw soft curves.
Welcome a new day on the vast ocean, watch the red sun rise from the horizon, or fly freely with paragliders in the purple-pink sky. Stroll through the bustling fishing village, admire hundreds of colorful basket boats and fishing boats anchored peacefully on the water, and feel the hustle and genuine life of the fishermen. And don’t forget to swim in the cool, turquoise seawater. Let your soul listen to the sound of waves lapping on the smooth, white sand.
The name Mui Ne originates from fishermen, where “Mũi” refers to the headland that extends out to the ocean, and “Né” means a place to avoid storms. Mui Ne is not only a haven for fishermen to escape storms, but also a paradise of endless experiences, where you can find peace in the majestic beauty of the ocean and unforgettable emotions.
The Flying Sand Dunes, also known as the Red Sand Dunes or White Sand Dunes, are one of the symbols of Mui Ne. Visiting these dunes is one of the best activities to do in Mui Ne, combining adventure and breathtaking scenery in the sun-drenched, wind-swept landscapes of Central Vietnam. Take sandboarding down the gentle slopes, feeling the smooth sand grains glide under your feet. In particular, do not miss the moment of sunrise or sunset, when the sand dunes transform into brilliant reds or pure whites, creating a magical and unforgettable natural scene.
Suoi Tien is a small stream, but it has the beauty of a “fairyland on earth” with stalactites that have been eroded by time. Try wading barefoot along the cool stream, feeling the softness of the mud under your feet and admiring the orange-yellow cliffs sparkling in the sunlight. The poetic and quiet scenery here will bring you a relaxing and emotional experience.
With ideal wind conditions almost all year round, Mui Ne is a paradise for kite surfing and windsurfing enthusiasts. You will throw your body into the clear blue sea, riding the waves and feeling the strong wind pushing you along. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, the short courses and equipment rental services here will help you satisfy your passion for this exciting water sport.
Coming to Mui Ne Fishing Village, you will be immersed in the lively and authentic atmosphere of fishermen’s lives. Watch hundreds of colorful boats anchored close to the shore, listen to the sound of the waves, and feel the salty smell of the sea. In particular, many of our guests enjoy buying fresh squid and crab, then having a local restaurant cook them on the spot.
Po Sah Inu Temple is a historical relic that bears the mark of ancient Champa culture. When you set foot here, you will admire the unique architecture of ancient red brick towers in the way of building and listen to stories about the once-glorious Champa kingdom. This place is not only a tourist attraction but also a door that takes you back to the past, discovering the mysterious beauty of ancient culture.
After a day of exploring, take the time to relax at one of the cafes or bars by the sea with a romantic view. Sit on comfortable beanbags, sip a cool cocktail, and let your soul settle down to the sound of the waves. Especially, the moment the sunset falls, dyeing the entire sky and sea purple, is the ideal time for you to take amazing dusk photos for unforgettable memories.
Mui Ne, a sunny and windy coastal area in Vietnam, has a warm climate characterized by two distinct seasons: the dry season, from November to April, and the rainy season, from May to October.
However, even during the rainy season, the rains here usually last only a few hours and then stop, giving way to bright yellow sunshine, unlike the persistent rains found in many other places.
The average year-round temperature ranges from 26 to 27 degrees Celsius, creating a warm atmosphere that is ideal for vacations and exploration. Mui Ne is also famous for its low rainfall, which contributes to the establishment of golden dunes that stretch endlessly to the horizon.
Let’s review the details of each season each month to determine when the best time to travel to Mui Ne is suitable for your preferences.
This duration is an ideal time to experience Mui Ne at its fullest charm.
Mui Ne has its typical beauty from May to October. Although it is the rainy season, Mui Ne is less heavily affected by storms, and the rains often come fast and go quickly.
Mui Ne has no airport, but getting there is part of the experience. The nearest train station is located in the center of Phan Thiet city, approximately 20 km from Mui Ne beaches – a short drive away, offering the typical blue sea and white sand scenery of the South Central Coast.
The most convenient and popular way to travel from Ho Chi Minh City or Nha Trang to Mui Ne is by tourist bus or private car. The journey takes a few hours, but in return, the scenery gradually changes from the bustling city to the green coconut trees and the cool sea breeze.
In Mui Ne, taxis and private cars are flexible options for navigating the town or visiting nearby attractions, such as the Sand Dunes, Fishing Village, or Fairy Stream. However, many of our visitors share that they spend most of their time just relaxing on the beach, where the gentle sunshine, fine sand, and gentle waves bring a feeling of absolute peace.
