Sparkling resorts along the coast add to the city's beauty and energy and are always ready to welcome you.

Top Things to Do in Da Nang

Da Nang offers a wide range of memorable experiences. Let’s look at the must-try activities to make your trip more complete!

Experience the fairyland of Ba Na Hills

Travel by cable car over the primeval forest to a completely different world, with the French Village in an ancient fairy-tale style, colorful flower gardens, and especially the famous Golden Bridge, like a soft silk strip supported by giant hands winding in the clouds.

Admire the Dragon Bridge breathing fire and water

Don’t miss the Dragon Bridge show at 9 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Standing among the cheering crowd as the golden dragon breathes fire and water, you’ll feel Da Nang’s spirit — wishing for peace, prosperity, and development.

Explore the mysterious Ngu Hanh Son

Get lost in the complex of the marble mountains at the main mount – Thuy Son, leading you through each step to majestic caves, worship ancient pagodas hidden in the treetops, and admire the panoramic view of the city from above. A feeling that is both sacred and adventurous!

Relax on My Khe Beach

Let your bare feet feel the smoothness of the yellow sand, immerse yourself in the clear blue water, or lie down under the golden sunlight. Sunrise and sunset at My Khe are wonderful moments that should not be missed. Hold the hands of your loved one and get lost in the gentle sunlight.

Conquer the pristine Son Tra Peninsula

This city’s green lung offers scenic motorbike rides through winding roads, with stunning views of mountains and sea. Visit Linh Ung Pagoda with its seaside Buddha, and if you can, join a tour to spot the rare red-shanked douc langur (Vooc)!

Journey through Hai Van Pass

For adventurous souls, this pass will bring challenging winding curves but, in return, it gives breathtakingly majestic views of mountains, sea, and sky.

Live in the history at Cham Sculpture Museum

Step into this quiet space—a yellow building echoing Cham sculpture motifs. Travel back in time through hundreds of intricately carved sandstone artifacts to live in the Champa civilization. Feel the blend of Hinduism and Buddhism in each solemnly displayed stone statue.

Enjoy the diverse street food

Da Nang is a paradise of Central Vietnamese cuisine. Treat yourself to local favorites like Mi Quang — turmeric rice noodles with shrimp, pork, egg, and fresh herbs; Banh Xeo — crispy pancakes filled with shrimp, pork, and bean sprouts; or Bun Cha Ca — fishcake noodle soup bursting with fresh seafood flavor. And don’t miss a cup of creamy avocado ice cream at Con Market or Bac My An Market!

Da Nang Weather

Understanding the weather in Da Nang will help you prepare your luggage and arrange your schedule smartly, making your trip to this beautiful coastal city more complete. This city has two distinct seasons, each with its own beauty and experience.

Dry season (March to September): This is the ideal time to indulge in outdoor activities and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Da Nang.

  • From March to May: The weather is usually enjoyable, with mild sunshine, not too hot, and little rain. It is ideal for swimming and exploring outdoor attractions.
  • From June to August: These are the hottest months, with clear blue skies and calm seas. However, suppose you love the bright yellow sunshine and want to experience the crowded beaches at dawn and dusk. In that case, this is still a great choice (remember to bring sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat!).

Rainy season (October to February): During this time, Da Nang experiences showers and sometimes storms. If you visit during this time, prepare umbrellas and raincoats and prioritize indoor activities such as visiting museums, enjoying cuisine in cozy restaurants, or relaxing at spas.

However, in the rainy season, Da Nang has its own beauty: clouds drifting over Son Tra peak or gently caressing the Golden Bridge in Ba Na. For the most convenient trip, remember to check the weather by day to plan specifically and have a backup plan.

In short, for a perfect beach trip, prioritize the months from March to September!
