Phong Nha cave has a length of 8km. The cavern has the longest system of underground rivers in the world. So, the locals also call it “the wet cave”. 

To enter the Phong Nha cave, you have to use a motorboat and follow the beautiful Son River to go into the cave. When you stay inside this cave, you will feel the cool air and pleasant atmosphere. Typically, the temperature is only 17 – 20 degrees Celsius in the cave while the hot summer outside can get 35 – 37 degrees.

When you are in the cave, you can leave the boat and walk to enjoy the beautiful nature with your own eyes. All are the incredible stalactites with different colors and shapes.

The Paradise Cave is known as the palace in the ground with the most magical and magnificent scenery. Dong Thien Duong is the longest dry cave in Asia, surrounded by Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.

From Phong Nha cave to Mooc Spring is about 10km. This eco-tourist area has a lovely scene, suitable for relaxation when traveling to Quang Binh Province, Vietnam.

You can swim and kayak on Suoi Nuoc Mooc to explore the beautiful scenery here. Also, join with many games on the water.

The ticket price is 80,000 VND / person. Children with a height of 1.3m and below are exempt from tickets.

Son Doong Cave is the largest cavern in the world when it contains a huge forest inside. Many famous TV and newspapers in the world (ABC News, CNBC, CNN, National Geographic, The New York Times) have introduced Hang Son Doong because of its incredible beauty.

2. The best time to visit Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park

The ideal time to travel to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park is from April to September. During this period, the weather is quite clear, favorable for walking, swimming, and sightseeing at tourist places.

But, you also note that Quang Binh belongs to a tropical monsoon climate with 2 distinct seasons, including:

  • Dry season (from April to September): Outside temperature is 36-37° C, the temperature in the cave is always 20-21° C, very mild. This good time is to participate in cave exploration in the heart of the world’s natural heritage Phong Nha – Ke Bang.
  • The rainy season (from October to March next year): In the rainy season, the water of the Son River is rising, it obscures the cave entrance. So tourists can not visit the wet cave Phong Nha.
