North Vietnam (from Hanoi to Sa Pa):
Summer in the North comes from May to October where temperatures are in the mid 30C with occasional heavy rains. In the winter, an average temperature is in the low rates from December to March. February and March can be damp with drizzling rain and sometimes overcast sky.

Central Vietnam (from Hue to Nha Trang):
Weather in the Central Vietnam varies because of the Truong Son mountain range situated in its northwest part. Nha Trang has periods of rain from November to December; Da Lat located in the interior, is cooler than the coastal regions from November to March. Hue and Hoi An tend to be warmer and more humid from May to September. From October to April is cooler time and also the best time to travel to here although flooding may occur from October to December.

South Vietnam (from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau):
The South Vietnam has wet season from May to October and dry season from November to April. Average temperature ranges from 25-30C. During wet months, showers and short downpours may come in the late afternoons.
